Compatibility and Installation

Are pressure washer pumps interchangeable? Many pumps are interchangeable, but it depends on factors such as your pressure washer’s engine shaft diameter, engine orientation, the original pump’s bolt pattern, and engine horsepower.

What if my shaft has a spline/gear instead of a keyway? If your original pump used a strap-style (bow tie) design with a spline/gear, which is no longer made, you can remove the spline and find a replacement pump that fits directly onto the shaft with a keyway. Use the model number for accurate replacement.

Do I need a keyway for installation, and do your pumps come with one? Our pumps require a keyway for installation on the engine shaft. Listings that include a keyway in the picture will provide one. If not included, you can purchase it separately from our catalog.

Do I need to change the oil in my pump? Most of our pumps are sealed units and do not require oil changes. However, models with an oil vent port will need regular oil maintenance. Ensure to check the specific model details for maintenance requirements.

• Installation Details: The pump mounts horizontally and can be oriented to face in any direction that allows accessible hose connections. It requires a minimum of 6HP to manage the specified PSI. Note that the pump head cannot be flipped, but the entire unit can be mounted in various orientations.

• Important Note: Operating any pressure washer pump above its maximum PSI rating is not recommended. Doing so can cause pump damage (not covered by warranty) and pose a risk of serious injury.
