Are pressure washer pumps interchangeable?

Many pumps can be interchanged. However, compatibility depends on factors such as your pressure washer’s engine shaft diameter and orientation, the original pump’s bolt pattern, and your engine's horsepower.

What if my shaft has a spline/gear instead of a keyway?

If your original pump had a spline/gear shaft (strap-style), which is no longer manufactured, you can remove the spline and find a replacement pump using your model number. Ensure the replacement pump installs directly onto the shaft with a keyway.

Do I need a keyway for installation, and do your pumps come with one?

Our pumps require a keyway for installation onto the engine shaft. If the keyway is shown in the product listing, it is included. Alternatively, you can purchase one separately from our catalog.

Do I need to change the oil in my pump?

While many of our pumps are sealed units that do not require oil changes, some models with an oil vent port necessitate regular oil maintenance.
